Biathlon: Lou Jeanmonnot and Quentin Fillon-Maillet in the French Cup this weekend
This weekend, the French Biathlon Cup makes a stopover in Prémanon (Jura). For the third stage of the 2025/2026 season, the national circuit welcomes two stars of the French team: Lou Jeanmonnot, competing this Saturday in the first sprint of the programme, and Quentin Fillon-Maillet, at the start of the Sunday sprint.
With less than a week to go before the World Cup in Oberhof (Germany), this participation is part of a strategy to build up momentum following the end-of-year festivities.

A training time was on the programme to get back into the rhythm of the competition before setting off again [on the World Cup],” Cyril Burdet, coach of the women’s group, explained to Nordic Magazine. Lou [Jeanmonnot] has the opportunity to do it with a race number, so it’s all the better.
Intensity at home for the other Blues in the World Cup
Her team-mates will do it at home over the weekend… like Quentin Fillon-Maillet’s colleagues.
The rest of the group won’t be going up [to the Jura] and doing the road, but producing their own intensity,” confirms Simon Fourcade, the French national team coach. As for Quentin [Fillon-Maillet], he’s on site, so it’s no big deal.

For the two Frenchmen, this outing on the slopes of the Tuffes stadium in Prémanon will have nothing to do with results. ” There’s no objective,” says Simon Fourcade. It has to be said that the dreams of the two Francs-Comtois are made of gold in a month’s time in Italy.
