Biathlon : a fine Anaëlle Bondoux/Amandine Mengin duel for victory in the Junior Cup
Anaëlle Bondoux, who easily won the previous day’s sprint by a margin of more than two minutes, was up against tougher competition this Saturday in the mass-start 60 of the Junior Cup in Goms ( Switzerland ) .

Indeed, her most serious opponent was none other thanAmandine Mengin (18/20), her French team-mate. Italy’s Astrid Plosch (18/20) took third place.

The flower ceremony included two other French biathletes. Lola Bugeaud (16/20) and Violette Bony (17/20) finished the event in fourth and fifth place respectively. Lou-Anne Dupont Ballet-Baz (16/20) was not far behind in eighth place.
On the other hand, the race proved more difficult for Célia Henaff from Savoie, who made seven mistakes behind her rifle. She finished eighteenth in the final rankings.
