Biathlon: seven Frenchmen in the top 11 of the first men’s sprint at the Junior Cup in Goms
The 2025/2026 Junior Cup biathlon season opened this Thursday morning with the first men’s sprint in Goms (Switzerland). In this race, which was devoid of German, Italian, Norwegian and Swedish competitors, it was the very promising Croatian Matija Legovic, winner of the circuit’s big globe last winter, who took victory.

The favourite, with a 10/10 on his number 22 bib, he crushed the race from the outset and won after 22 min 32 sec 1 of effort. Only one man, Doubiste Léo Carlier (10/10), was able to challenge him, but had to be content with second place at 12 sec 7.

The rest of the ranking was also occupied by members of the French team, with Antonin Delsol (8/10) from Savoie completing the podium ahead of Guillaume Poirot (8/10) and Camille Grataloup-Manissolle (9/10). Ukrainian Taras Tarasiuk (10/10), in sixth place, was the last member of the top 6 to take part in the flower ceremony.

Enzo Bouillet (8/10) was eighth, Flavio Guy (6/10) tenth and Judicaël Perrillat-Bottonet (8/10) eleventh. Last but not least, the British rider Sean Benson (9/10) finished a fine twenty-fifth.
