Biathlon : three Frenchmen in the top 10 of the Swiss sprint
After a day without competition, the Junior Cup was back in action this Friday on the tracks and shooting range in Goms (Switzerland). After the inaugural mixed relay races on Wednesday, the individual races began with a men’s sprint.

And one Frenchman in particular stood out this morning. Léo Carlier scored a very good 9/10 to take his place on today’s podium. Third on the line, the Jurassien was only beaten by Croatia’s Matija Legovic (9/10) and Poland’s Fabian Suchodoloski (9/10).

Just a few days after his first international top 3 in Ridnaun-Val Ridanna ( Italy), the young Frenchman is continuing his apprenticeship at the highest level. After him, two of his compatriots finished in the top 10.

Seventh and eighth respectively, Guillaume Poirot and Edgar Geny put in a fine performance on the skis to make up for their four errors against the targets. Behind them, Ian Martinet (7/10) was fourteenth, Lionel Jouannaud (6/10) sixteenth and Martin Botet (4/10) twenty-second. Lou Thiévent did not start.
