Biathlon: a first medal at the Swiss championships for Coralie Langel
The mass start of the Swiss biathlon championships took place in Goms (Switzerland) on Sunday morning in brilliant sunshine. In these idyllic conditions, Coralie Langel, who has only been racing under the Swiss flag for a few days, put in her first fine performance under her new colours.

With a 17/20 in her shooting, the Doubiste native put in a superb performance to take the silver medal behind the untouchable Lena Haecki-Gross (19/20), who was crowned solo winner.

Flavia Barmettler (18/20) and Elisa Gasparin (16/20), in the last race of their respective careers, battled it out for bronze in the sprint… won by the former. Irene Cadurisch (15/20), Lea Meier (13/20) and Susanna Meinen (14/20) followed in the rankings.
Bronze for Arnaud Du Pasquier
On the men’s side, Sebastian Stalder (18/20), as in Friday’s sprint, proved to be the best. This time he beat Joscha Burkhalter (15/20) by 45 seconds 8 seconds and Arnaud Du Pasquier (14/20), an excellent third place finisher with a tan, by 1 minute 16 seconds 3 seconds.

Rounding out the day’s rankings were Gion Stalder (14/20), Yannik Kreuzer (13/20), Marco Gross (18/20), Yanis Keller (14/20), Simon Zberg (17/20), Andreas Egger (14/20) and Thomas Arregger (13/20).
