Like her counterpart Johannes Thingnes Boe in the men’s race a few minutes earlier, Franziska Preuss gave a real biathlon lesson on Saturday in the World Cup pursuit at Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie).

With just one fault on the mats, the German didn’t hesitate to win the final in style. Her success means that she can continue to extend her lead in the overall rankings, where she no longer trails Lou Jeanmonnot, but Elvira Oeberg, by 157 points.
Julia Simon has also climbed back up the leaderboard after her excellent second place in the day’s competition. The Villaraine rider is now fifth, 55 points off a place in the top 3.
