Biathlon: podium finish for Eric Perrot in the Hochfilzen sprint
A few days ago, after the pursuit inÖstersund (Sweden), PeiserotEric Perrot shared his dismay after missing out on the podium by missing a bullet on the last standing shot of the race. Frustrated and angry, the Savoyard set the record straight this Friday in sunny Hochfilzen (Austria).

Scoring 10/10 against the targets, the reigning world champion in the mixed relay and the individual event put in an (almost) perfect performance. With a solid ski time to crown his performance, like the other Frenchmen, Eric Perrot was in it for the win right to the end.

But one man stood out from the crowd in the Tyrol: Italian Tommaso Giacomel, who is interviewed at length in the new issue of Nordic Magazine.

The Transalpine, who is also perfect at shooting and super-fast on the boards, took his second World Cup victory, less than a year after his first, at the mass start in Ruhpolding (Germany) in January. He won by 4 sec 0 ahead of the Frenchman, who claimed his first individual podium this Olympic winter after three top 10 finishes in Sweden.
Philipp Horn does Germany good
In third place, at 6 sec 0, was Germany’s Philipp Horn (10/10). Having never been on a World Cup podium before, he is delighted to be able to (finally) kick-start the season for his national team, which has been struggling until now.

The yellow number Johan-Olav Botn (10/10), Sturla Holm Lægreid (10/10) and Martin Ponsiluoma (9/10) followed in the rankings and took part in the flower ceremony, ahead of Campbell Wright (10/10), Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen (10/10) and Sebastian Samuelsson (8/10).

Tenth-placed Quentin Fillon-Maillet (9/10) enters the top ten, while Fabien Claude (8/10) is eleventh, Emilien Jacquelin (7/10) fourteenth, Oscar Lombardot (8/10) twenty-first and Emilien Claude (9/10) thirty-sixth.
