10:18. Dorothea Wierer, who was due to finish the Italian relay at the Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen (Austria) on Saturday afternoon, fourth in Friday’s sprint, has finally withdrawn from the race.
The Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) made the announcement this morning, without giving any further details. Hannah Auchentaller, Rebecca Passler, who is replacing her illustrious compatriot at short notice, Samuela Comola and Lisa Vittozzi will compete in today’s relay.
