Biathlon: Tamara Steiner and David Komatz crowned champions
This Friday morning, the Austrian biathlon championships in the mixed singles relay took place in Hochfilzen (Austria). At the venue that hosted the World Cup last month, Tamara Steiner and David Komatz proved to be the strongest performers.
They won the gold medal by just twenty seconds from Lara Wagner and Patrick Jakob, while Anna Juppe and Magnus Oberhauser took bronze ahead of Kristina Oberthaler and Fredrik Muehlbacher. Notable absentees were Simon Eder, Lisa Theresa Hauser, Felix Leitner and Anna Gandler.
In the U22 category, Anna Andexer and Fabian Muellauer were the logical winners. Dominant, they comfortably beat Selina Heigl and Stefan Dankl as well as Wilma Anhaus and Thomas Dankl.
In the U19s, the title went to Anna-Lena Wolf and Magnus Steiner, while Nina Huber and Tim Denner won gold in the U17s.
