Biathlon : Norway on the third step of the podium
On Sunday, Norway’s Endre Stroemsheim, Johan-Olav Botn, Karoline Knotten and Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold took third place in the mixed relay at the Biathlon World Cup inÖstersund (Sweden).

Endre Stroemsheim got the Scandinavian team off to a perfect start and handed over the relay in fourth position, less than a second behind Italy, despite a little personal frustration: “I made a tactical mistake on the last lap. I would have liked to have attacked a bit more, but I was really hampered by the traffic,” the biathlete told NRK.
Johan-Olav Botn then continued his fine form. With a 10/10 behind the rifle, he put Norway in the lead. Following on from this, Karoline Knotten, who was impeccable at shooting, lost a few seconds due to a fall, but retained the lead: ” I need to check the skis. It was silly, but it was nice to be back in the race “, said the Norwegian.

It was then Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold’ s turn to start, after a nightmarish day. Starting alongside Lou Jeanmonnot, the Norwegian arrived at the prone shot at the same time as the Frenchwoman. After a first run that ended in a draw, she had another tricky standing shot, this time marked by a penalty round.
“You can’t be satisfied with just one shot, but I have the feeling that it’s an improvement on yesterday,” said the Norwegian. ” Unfortunately, it’s not the level we were hoping for Ingrid,” said NRK expert Ola Lunde.

Despite her difficulties, Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold still managed to hold on to third place for Norway, behind France and Italy.
