Biathlon: Camille Grataloup-Manissolle wins the French title in style
On Friday, the title of men’s U19 mass-start biathlon champion went down to the wire in Les Saisies (Savoie). On the slopes of the stadium that hosted the 1992 Olympic Games, Camille Grataloup-Manissolle beat Flavio Guy by forceps.
“I don’t think there was one stronger than the other because we did the whole race together, the new gold medallist explained to Nordic Magazine. I knew I wasn’t too bad at sprinting and that I had a chance. It was all mental and I put everything into it without thinking. It worked!”

For the Dauphinois, this title means a great deal, especially as it comes at the end of a very successful winter, marked by an overall victory in the French U19 Cup and some convincing international performances.
“I’m really happy! This mass-start of the French Championships is practically one of the best races to run all winter and to win it is really cool, he confides. It’s also always good to finish a season well so that you’re well prepared for the next one.”
