Biathlon: prone shooting after standing shooting for Eric Perrot
In the mind of Savoie biathlete Eric Perrot, already a three-time world champion at the age of 24, everything is calculated. For several seasons now, the Peiserot has been making steady progress, achieving his objectives one by one, from top 10 in the World Cup to the individual world title won in Lenzerheide (Switzerland) last February.
The 2025/2026 season, which is about to get underway, will be marked by the Olympic goal, where he is dreaming of a gold medal in his first participation in the quadrennial competition. To this end, Eric Perrot has spared no effort throughout his summer preparations.

As well as working on his final sprints, the winner of the Loop One Festival in Munich (Germany) focused on his prone shot. I worked on it a lot because that’s where I had the worst statistics,” he explained to Nordic Magazine. It wasn’t a weakness, but something I had to keep improving.
Above 87% success rate on the bench press
A perfectionist, the boy from Aime-La-Plagne (Savoie) is not content with his 87% success rate in last winter’s position.
Last year, I focused on standing up and that worked well,” he continues. I really enjoyed those last few shots. That’s why I wanted to take the fun out of shooting on the recumbent so that I can take it from A to Z in the races, without any grey areas.

Beyond that, Eric Perrot, who is passionate about a sport that has become his full-time job, believes that“there are still plenty of points to go”. When it comes to shooting, for example, there are plenty of scenarios that I’ve already experienced, but there are also plenty that I haven’t yet,” he says. Building up my bag is part of my training, but it’s during the races that I build it up the most.
Over the next few months, soldiers in the Army of Champions will have the opportunity to fill their bags in many ways and on many occasions.
