Biathlon: first small globe for Voldiya Galmace-Paulin
Montblanc’s Voldiya Galmace-Paulin was the clear leader in the overall individual ranking on the IBU Cup circuit ahead of the last race of the winter, which took place early this afternoon in Otepää (Estonia).
At the age of 19, the biathlete from the Ski Club de Villard-sur-Boëge won the first small globe of her young career after an exceptional season. Having discovered the IBU Cup at the start of the winter, Voldiya Galmace-Paulin put in a string of excellent results, including a resounding sprint/chase double in February.

In doing so, she becomes the ninth Frenchwoman to win at least one IBU Cup small globe after Chloé Chevalier (pursuit in 2018), Lou Jeanmonnot (super sprint in 2022) and Caroline Colombo (sprint in 2022), Paula Botet (sprint in 2023), Gilonne Guigonnat (mass start in 2023), Océane Michelon (sprint and pursuit in 2024), Anaëlle Bondoux (mass start in 2024) and Camille Bened (pursuit and mass start in 2025).
