Haut-Savoyards Gilonne Guigonnat and Camille Bened will not be competing this week at theIBU Biathlon Cup in Brezno-Osrblie (Slovakia).
Ill and unable to take part in Wednesday’s opening individual short race on the fifth stage of the B circuit, they will be returning to France, Stéphane Bouthiaux, director of the French teams, tells Nordic Magazine.
Only Voldiya Galmace-Paulin, Sophie Chauveau, Léonie Jeannier and Amandine Mengin will therefore be lining up for Friday’s sprint and will be eligible to take part in Saturday’s closing mixed events.
