Biathlon: a final Norwegian victory in the men’s IBU Cup
This Friday morning, the final day of individual races at the IBU Biathlon Cup in Otepää (Estonia ) opened with the men’s sprint. The Norwegian Johan-Olav Botn (9/10) was the strongest in this 10km event, with two shots, one prone and one standing.
Despite making a mistake on his second run over the mats, he won by 13.2 seconds ahead of his compatriot Sverre Dahlen Aspenes (9/10), while Germany’s Roman Rees (10/10), 21.5 seconds behind, completed the podium. Sivert Gerhardsen (10/10), Sivert Guttorm Bakken (8/10) and Christoph Pircher (10/10) also made it into the top 6.

Just behind is Bornandin Damien Levet (9/10). After a fine end to the season in Estonia, Levet scored another top 10 finish at the 2027 World Championships venue. Théo Guiraud-Poillot (9/10), ninth, and Edgar Geny (9/10), eleventh, also had convincing races.
Antonin Delsol (8/10) was seventeenth and Gaëtan Paturel (7/10) nineteenth.
