Biathlon: Johannes Dale-Skjevdal wins
The third and final day of the IBU Biathlon Cup in Ridnaun-Val Ridanna (Italy) kicked off on Saturday morning with the men’s mass-start 60. In what is always a spectacular format, the Norwegians and Germans dominated the front-runners.

At the finish, despite a 17/20 on the mats, it was Johannes Dale-Skjevdal who won. In the final lap, as he had done in the pursuit on Friday, the Norwegian made his presence felt in the final lap to win solo. Germany’s Simon Kaiser (18/20), in the lead after the fourth shot, took second place at 4.8 seconds, while Isak Frey (17/20) came third, beating Lucas Fratzscher (18/20) in the sprint.

The flower ceremony was completed by Johan-Olav Botn (18/20) and Sverre Dahlen Aspenes (17/20) ahead of Sivert Guttorm Bakken (17/20), David Zobel (17/20) and Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen (17/20), the ninth and sixth Norwegian of the day.
The top 10 was completed by Doubois Oscar Lombardot (16/20). Author of a 10/10 on the recumbent, the Franc-Comtois broke down on the standing. Just behind him were Gaëtan Paturel (16/20), eleventh, Théo Guiraud-Poillot (19/20), twelfth, and Greenland’s Sondre Slettemark (18/20). Lastly, Rémi Broutier (17/20) was sixteenth.
