Biathlon: Johannes Dale-Skjevdal back on the winning track
Impressive in his first IBU Cup appearance this season in Obertilliach (Germany) and then Arber (Germany), Johannes Dale-Skjevdal failed to shine last week at the European championships in Martell-Val Martello (Italy).
Seventh in the individual stage and then ill, he returned to competition on the Ridnaun-Val Ridanna (Italy) stage. Fifth in the sprint two days ago, he won the pursuit this Friday morning. Although he scored 18/20 against the targets, he had to give it his all to win the race to the finish line.

In a very close race, he came out of the last shot 5 sec 9 behind American leader Paul Schommer (19/20). Accompanied by his compatriot Isak Frey (18/20), he managed to catch up with the leader, outrun him and then pull away from his team-mate. In the end, Johannes Dale-Skjevdal won by a margin of 4 sec 2 over Isak Frey and 8 sec 0 over Paul Schommer.
Third chase time for Oscar Lombardot
Sivert Guttorm Bakken (16/20), who was ahead going into the last shot when he missed two targets, finished in fourth place just ahead of an excellent Oscar Lombardot (19/20). Twelfth at the start, the Doubiste climbed seven places to finish fifth and take part in the flower ceremony.

This was rounded off by David Zobel (18/20), sixth ahead of Johan-Olav Botn (18/20), Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen (17/20), Gaëtan Paturel (18/20), super ninth, and Sverre Dahlen Aspenes (16/20).
The other French riders were Théo Guiraud-Poillot (16/20) in twenty-second place and Rémi Broutier (13/20) in thirty-second. Last but not least, Switzerland’s Arnaud Du Pasquier (17/20) was twenty-first and Greenland’s Sondre Slettemark (17/20) fourteenth, confirming his eighth place in the sprint.
