Biathlon: Les Bleus out in force at the European championships
In the middle of the afternoon on Monday, the French Ski Federation (FFS ) officially announced the composition of its group of biathletes for the European Championships scheduled to start on Wednesday in Martell-Val Martello (Italy) .
There are no major surprises in this list, as Camille Bened, Voldiya Galmace-Paulin, Gilonne Guigonnat, Sophie Chauveau, Amandine Mengin and Léonie Jeannier have been selected for this sixth stage of the IBU Cup. This is the same group that performed earlier in the month in Slovakia.
The men’s team includes Théo Guiraud-Poillot, Oscar Lombardot, Gaëtan Paturel, Edgar Geny, Rémi Broutier and Valentin Lejeune. The latter is the new kid on the block, having played in the French Cup since the start of the winter. Rewarded for his efforts, the Bassurois takes the place of Haut-Savoyard Jacques Jefferies.
