Biathlon: a second IBU Cup small globe for Paula Botet
By finishing third in the sprint at the IBU Biathlon Cup in Otepää (Estonia) on Friday, Paula Botet from Bresse won the small crystal globe for the discipline.
After winning it for the first time in 2023, she becomes the first Frenchwoman to win the same B Tour globe twice. Paula Botet (486) won the trophy ahead of Voldiya Galmace-Paulin (481), Camille Bened (451), Gilonne Guigonnat (429), Karoline Erdal (328) and Amandine Mengin (323).

The Vosgienne is one of nine Frenchwomen to have won at least one crystal globe in the IBU Cup, along with Chloé Chevalier (pursuit in 2018), Lou Jeanmonnot (super sprint in 2022) and Caroline Colombo (sprint in 2022), Paula Botet (sprint in 2023), Gilonne Guigonnat (mass-start in 2023), Océane Michelon (sprint and pursuit in 2024), Anaëlle Bondoux (mass-start in 2024), Camille Bened (pursuit and mass-start in 2025) and Voldiya Galmace-Paulin (individual in 2025).
