Biathlon: this time, Sebastian Samuelsson put everyone in agreement
Frustrated the day before after finishing fifth in theindividual short at the opening Swedish biathlon races on theIdre Fjäll track (Sweden), Sebastian Samuelsson set the record straight in Sunday’s sprint. After failing to hit the targets on just one occasion, the Swede then used his power on the skis to keep the competition at bay.

The 27-year-old biathlete won by almost a minute over Jesper Nelin (8/10), who had already finished second the day before, impressing everyone and reassuring them of his form after a tricky performance on Saturday. The young father was highly critical of the local course, where he “couldn’t attack” as he would have liked.

Estonia’s Rene Zakhna , who scored one of the rare 10/10s of the day, also put in a fine performance, taking third place from Martin Ponsiluoma, who came fourth despite four faults on the mats. Ukrainian Vitalii Mandzyn (8/10), the surprise winner the day before, did not repeat his performance, however, finishing an anecdotal eighth.
