Biathlon: A broken hand during a trail run
In early July, Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold broke her right hand while participating in a foot race in the Lofoten Islands in Norway. As a result, a fracture kept her from training for several weeks. Despite everything, the Norwegian continued her summer efforts with a “gentler” preparation.
Now free from her cast, the 27-year-old biathlete is close to a comeback, as noted by the national team doctor, Sverre Huber Kaas, in the pages of VG: “Recent returns are encouraging, she is making progress. She can use her hand again to ski with poles, so it’s quite promising.”
Despite everything, Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold must remain cautious. “Even if she can train, her hand still needs to be strengthened,” adds the specialist. Not completely at 100%, the Norwegian could still make her return to competition at the Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival next weekend in Annecy (Haute-Savoie).
