Biathlon: Jakov Fak’s career ends in March 2026
The surprise winner of the individual short race at the Biathlon World Cup in Pokljuka (Slovenia) on Thursday, Slovenian biathlete Jakov Fak has announced that he will be retiring from the sport at the end of next season, following the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.

As the next World Cup calendar does not include a stage in Pokljuka, the local organising committee told the media this Saturday morning that Jakov Fak will be celebrated on Sunday after the mixed singles relay. The celebration will take place in the finish area before the flower ceremony.
