Biathlon: logical choices in Germany
This Wednesday morning, theGerman Ski Association (DSV) sent out a media release announcing the names of the German sportsmen and women of the year in its various disciplines.
Over the next few days, the DSV will be gathering all its athletes in Nuremberg (Germany) for its traditional Einkleidung (days when athletes are given their kit).
In biathlon, Janina Hettich-Walz (runner-up in the individual world championships and bronze medallist in the relays) and Benedikt Doll (world bronze medallist in the individual), who has now retired, were the logical choice. The nordic combined athletes of the year were Manuel Faisst and Nathalie Armbruster , while Katharina Schmid and Andreas Wellinger were named ski jumpers. Finally, the DSV cross-country skiers of the year are Victoria Carl and Friedrich Moch.

Junior prizes were also awarded: Julia Tannheimer and Leonhard Pfund in biathlon, Ronja Loh and Tristian Sommerfeldt in nordic combined, Alvine Holz and Adrian Tittel in ski jumping and Charlotte Boehme in cross-country skiing.
