15:22. By finishing second in the mass-start 60 of the Junior Biathlon World Championships in Östersund (Sweden) on Monday afternoon, Anaëlle Bondoux from the Dauphiné region of France secured the Junior Cup small globe in the speciality.
With a total of 174 points amassed throughout the season, she is 22 points ahead of Italy’s Fabiana Carpella (152) to lift the crystal.
This is not the first time that the Grenoble native has won a small globe in the Junior Cup, as she took the sprint and pursuit trophies in 2023. Last winter,Anaëlle Bondoux also won the small globe in the IBU Cup mass start.
Fabiana Carpella won the Junior Cup with 477 points, 13 more thanAnaëlle Bondoux and 14 more thanAmandine Mengin, fourth on the day. Célia Henaff was sixth.
