12:32. This Friday, the Norwegian Biathlon Cup in Karidalen (Norway) opened with mass-starts. In the men’s race, Joergen Sæter (19/20) took first place ahead of Ole Suhrke (18/20), second at 7 sec 8. Petter Austberg Bjoern (1/20) completed the day’s podium, while Filip Fjeld Andersen (17/20) was tenth.
The women’s victory went to Hanna Boerve (20/20). Aged 23, she had never competed internationally and beat Frida Dokken (17/20) by 4 sec 3 and Synne Owren (19/20) by 7 sec 8. Tuva Aas Stræte (18/20) was sixth, Marit Oeygard (17/20) seventh, Marit Ishol Skogan (17/20) eleventh,Aasne Skrede (16/20) thirteenth and Mari Torsteinserud (16/20) fourteenth.
Earlier in the morning, France’s Julie Baverel (17/20), who competes for Holmenkollen Biathlon, was seventeenth in the U22 race.
