Biathlon: Kristyna Otcovska heads for the World Cup
This Friday morning, the Czech Biathlon Association unveiled the list of athletes selected for the World Cup in Kontiolahti (Finland), scheduled to start next week. Ten Czech biathletes have been selected for the opening event, following the races organised in Vuokatti (Finland) with the Germans and Americans.
On the women’s side, Kristyna Otcovska, 24 and reigning university mass-start champion, took the only ticket up for grabs as Tereza Vobornikova, Marketa Davidova, Jessica Jislova and Lucie Charvatova were pre-qualified.
In the men’s group, Jonas Marecek, Vitezslav Hornig and Jakub Stvrecky managed to join their leaders Michal Krcmar and Tomas Mikyska.
