Biathlon: Slovakia down to eight men for the start of the World Cup
This Wednesday morning, the Slovak Biathlon Federation (finally) made official the list of athletes selected for the opening World Cup in Kontiolahti (Finland). WhileAnastasiya Kuzmina was expected to be present on the women’s side, she will not be, preferring to train in Norway and then take part in the IBU Cup in Geilo (Norway) before competing in the World Cup in Hochfilzen (Austria).
The women’s squad includes Paulina Batovska Fialkova, back from maternity leave this winter, Maria Remenova, Zuzana Remenova and Ema Kapustova. On the men’s side, Matej Badan, Jakub Borgula, Damian Cesnek and Tomas Sklenarik have been selected.
