Biathlon: Quentin Fillon-Maillet wins the French Cup sprint at La Féclaz
On Saturday afternoon, the first day of the French Biathlon Cup in La Féclaz (Savoie) came to a close with the men’s U19/U22/Seniors sprint. As expected, and in the same way as the women’s race earlier in the day, it was the biathletes who had been selected for the World Championships in Lenzerheide (Switzerland) who took the top places at the finish.

The winner of the day, less than a week before the start of the world championships, was Quentin Fillon-Maillet. With a 10/10 score, the Jurassien won by 13 sec 1 over Peiserot Eric Perrot (10/10) , while Vosgien Emilien Claude (10/10), in third place, was pushed back to 23 sec 6.

Dauphinois Emilien Jacquelin (9/10) just missed out on the podium, 27 seconds 2 behind the leader, while Fabien Claude (9/10) was fifth at 44 seconds 5. Damien Levet (9/10), Mathieu Garcia (10/10), Antonin Guigonnat (8/10), Edgar Geny (7/10), the first U22, and Alexis Colomban (10/10) completed the top 10.

Nineteenth overall, Doubois rider Flavio Guy (7/10) won the under-19 category ahead of Léo Carlier (7/10) and Enzo Bouillet (8/10) on a 100% Massif jurassien podium.
