There are some days you just don’t forget, and Jeanne Richard is not about to forget Saturday 21 December 2024. Two years after Sophie Chauveau’s exploits on home soil at the biathlon world cup in Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie), the Haut-Savoyard also shone just a few kilometres from Les Gets (Haute-Savoie), her home resort.

Superb fourth in the pursuit behind Vanessa Voigt in the afternoon, the 22-year-old gave herself a benchmark performance, but not the only one. With this solid performance, the Gêtoise increases her lead in the overall classification as the best U23 rider on the circuit.
Jeanne Richard now leads Océane Michelon, her compatriot in the French ranks, by just 30 points. In the overall rankings, she even climbs into the top 10 before Sunday’s mass start.
