Biathlon: time for the men’s sprint this Friday in Le Grand-Bornand
In the wake of the women’s sprint won by Hanna Oeberg, the Annecy – Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie)Biathlon World Cup will feature a men’s sprint on its programme this Friday from 2.15pm. Britain’s Jacques Jefferies , wearing bib no. 1, will have the honour of opening the ball for his first start on the world circuit.
Then, ahead of the favourites, we find Henning Sjoekvist (3), Lovro Planko (5), Renars Birkentals (6), Paul Schommer (7), Florent Claude (8), Michal Krcmar (11), Tuomas Harjula (13) and Vladimir Iliev (15).

Switzerland’s Joscha Burkhalter (16) will start the blue group, followed by Vitezslav Hornig (18), Sebastian Stalder (20), Oscar Lombardot (21), Johannes Dale-Skjevdal (22), Lukas Hofer (24), Vitalii Mandzyn (26), Dmytro Pidruchnyi (27), Jesper Nelin (28), David Zobel (29), Fabien Claude (30), Jakob Kulbin (31), Maxime Germain (32), the blue bib Isak Frey (34), Malte Stefansson (36), Andrejs Rastorgujevs (40), Danilo Riethmueller (41), Oscar Andersson (43) and Simon Eder (44).

The red group of favourites will then be opened up by Italy’s Tommaso Giacomel (46). Eric Perrot (48), Quentin Fillon-Maillet (50), Philipp Horn (52), Martin Ponsiluoma (54), Thierry Langer (55), Sebastian Samuelsson (56), Valentin Lejeune (57), Emilien Jacquelin (58), Sturla Holm Lægreid (60), Philipp Nawrath (62), Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen (64), Jeremy Finello (65), Justus Strelow (66), Tero Seppälä (67), the yellow and red Johan-Olav Botn (68), Campbell Wright (70), Sivert Guttorm Bakken (72) and Simon Kaiser (73) will follow.
