On Monday, the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) unveiled the composition of its mixed relay team, which will line up on Wednesday at 2.30pm to open the biathlon world championships in Lenzerheide (Switzerland).
Hannah Auchentaller will launch the team before handing over to Dorothea Wierer. Lukas Hofer and Tommaso Giacomel, who has won back-to-back World Cup podiums, will then close the proceedings.

In its history, Italy has won two world medals in the mixed relay : bronze in 2019 in Östersund (Sweden) with Lisa Vittozzi, Dorothea Wierer, Lukas Hofer and Dominik Windisch, and silver in 2023 in Oberhof (Germany) with Lisa Vittozzi, Dorothea Wierer, Didier Bionaz and Tommaso Giacomel.
