Biathlon: second victory in a week for Coralie Langel
After the short sprints, the second day of the French Biathlon Cup in Contamines-Montjoie (Haute-Savoie) on Saturday featured short individual races.
At 9.15am, the women’s race got underway and it was Coralie Langel from the Franc-Comté region who took victory. After starting the race at 15/15, she dropped two bullets on the last stand, but still won by 38 sec 6 over Célia Henaff (17/20) and 53 sec 0 over Fany Bertrand (17/20). For the SC Mont Noir biathlete, it was her second victory in a week on the national circuit after the sprint in Prémanon (Jura).

Friday’s winner of the short sprint, Léonie Jeannier (16/20), yellow bib on her skinsuit, finished fourth at 1 min 0 sec 8 just ahead of Lola Bugeaud (16/20), fifth overall at 1 min 16 sec 4 andonce again the U19 winner.

Noémie Remonnay (18/20), Thémice Fontaine (19/20), Caline Pic (17/20), second U19, Lou-Anne Dupont Ballet-Baz (14/20) and Coralie Perrin (17/20), third U19, all made the day’s top 10. Further back, Pauline Machut (16/20) is twelfth, Violette Bony (14/20) fifteenth and Eva Laine (11/20) twenty-first.
