Biathlon: Antonin Delsol triumphs in Les Contamines-Montjoie
A few hours after Léonie Jeannier ‘s victory in the women’s race, it was the boys’ turn to compete in the short sprint of the French Biathlon Cup in Contamines-Montjoie (Haute-Savoie) on Friday lunchtime.
In this 7.5km long format, victory was decided by a narrow margin and it was Savoyard Antonin Delsol who came out on top. With a score of 9/10, he was 4.8 seconds behind Guillaume Poirot (9/10) from the Vosges. Faster in the final loop, under heavy snowfall, he won by 3 sec 1.

Martin Botet (8/10) rounded off the podium at 4.8 seconds, while Corentin Jacob (8/10) was fourth at 9.7 seconds and Valentin Lejeune (8/10) fifth at 13.8 seconds. Sixth overall, Flavio Guy (7/10) from the Franche-Comté region took victory in the under-19s.

Yellow bib winner Mathieu Garcia (8/10), Léo Carlier (7/10), second U19, Camille Grataloup-Manissolle (8/10), third U19, and Lionel Jouannaud (7/10) all made the day’s top 10. There were disappointments for Damien Levet (7/10), twelfth, Paul Fontaine (8/10), fifteenth, Antonin Guy (8/10), seventeenth, and Lou Thiévent (7/10), eighteenth.
