Biathlon: Eric Perrot was by far the strongest in the mass start at the French Championships in Les Saisies
After returning from the Lucerne 2025 World Military Games with three gold medals and a bronze last night, Eric Perrot lined up at the start of the mass start of the French biathlon championships in Les Saisies (Savoie) at 2.00pm sharp.
With Fabien Claude, Emilien Claude, Quentin Fillon-Maillet and Emilien Jacquelin all withdrawing for various reasons, the Peiserot unleashed the horses. Although he made three mistakes on the mats to achieve a score of 17/20 for shooting, he was very fast on the cross-country track.

Eric Perrot enjoyed a great ride despite his tiredness to win his first national title in the senior format. He crossed the finish line with the Savoyard flag in his hand, proud to give the mass-start gold medal back to his committee for the first time since Vincent Jay won it in 2009.

On the podium, he was joined at 16 sec 9 by Doubiste’s Oscar Lombardot (18/20) and at 41 sec 3 by Montblanc’s Gaëtan Paturel (18/20). Paturel won both the bronze medal in the senior category and the U22 title.

Mathieu Garcia (16/20), Théo Guiraud-Poillot (14/20), Judicaël Perrillat-Bottonet (16/20), silver medallist at U22 level, Damien Levet (17/20), Rémi Broutier (13/20), Edgar Geny (15/20), bronze medallist at U22 level, and Martin Botet (15/20) all made the top 10.

Bornandin Paul Fontaine finished nineteenth (12/20) and Mathieu Perrillat-Bottonet twenty-sixth (13/20). Both were competing in the last race of their careers.
