Biathlon: Lisa Theresa Hauser on the fringes of the ÖSV
In the spring, 30-year-old Lisa Theresa Hauser made a radical decision to leave the training facilities offered by theAustrian Ski Association (ÖSV). In other words, it’s as if Emilien Jacquelin, Quentin Fillon-Maillet, Lou Jeanmonnot, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, Eric Perrot and Julia Simon in France decided to train on their own throughout the preparation period.
Especially since, in an interview with Tiroler Tageszeitung, the 2021 mass-start world champion reveals that her choice is final. “It would have been difficult to find a common path, she says. I’ve decided to organise the final years of my career myself.”

For the moment, Lisa Theresa Hauser has her sights set on the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. This is because she has never won a medal in the most prestigious of all competitions.
The Austrian, who had already prepared outside the federal framework in 2016/2017 within the Biathlonschmiede with a certain Simon Eder, spent the summer in the company of Julia Leitinger (ex Schwaiger). All this with fellow former biathletes Lorenz Waeger and Bernhard Leitinger as coaches.
Often in the company of Swiss women
Of course, Lisa Theresa Hauser, who is very close to Swiss national team coach Sandra Flunger, has also spent a lot of time with this group. In recent weeks, she has been in Ramsau (Austria) with them after spending a training camp with them in Lenzerheide (Switzerland) in August.

Only thirty-third in the overall World Cup standings last winter, she is hoping to get back to her best level. “Lisa [Theresa Hauser] has enough experience to know what she’s doing,” says Reinhard Goesweiner, the new official coach of the Austrian national team.
At the end of November, the whole world will meet again for the launch of the World Cup.
