Biathlon: Lisa Vittozzi is not ready
This Monday morning, the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) announced the state of health of Lisa Vittozzi. Winner of the last big crystal globe, the Transalpine was absent from the opening stage of the World Cup in Kontiolahti (Finland) and was due to return to competition before Christmas.
However, the physical test she has undergone over the last few days appears not to have been conclusive , as it has been decided that Lisa Vittozzi will miss the stages of Hochfilzen (Austria) and Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie).

“In agreement with the technical staff, she has decided to continue her individual preparation over the coming weeks, with the aim of appearing on the circuit in top physical condition for the Oberhof races, scheduled for 9-12 January”, explains the federal communication.
As a result, we won’t see the Italian on the World Cup again until 2025. Dorothea Wierer, Samuela Comola, Michela Carrara, Hannah Auchentaller, Martina Trabucchi, Beatrice Trabucchi, Lukas Hofer, Elia Zeni, Tommaso Giacomel, Patrick Braunhofer, Daniele Cappellari and Didier Bionaz have also been selected for Hochfilzen.
