Biathlon: three in a row for the French on the World Military Games patrol
Flora Dolci, Chloé Chevalier, Paula Botet and Lou Jeanmonnot from France were the scarecrows of the Lucerne 2025 Military World Games patrol. Winners of this race two years ago at the last Military World Championships, they were indeed the big favourites.
With a 15/15 record against the targets and great speed on the skis, Les Bleues rose to the occasion to win a sublime gold medal. For Lou Jeanmonnot, this was her fourth medal of the week, after the sprint, the team event and the mixed relay.
Italy(Federica Cassol, Martina Trabucchi, Rebecca Passler, Samuela Comola), at 14/15 and 1 min 17 sec 4, took silver, while Sweden(Ebba Stenman, Annie Lind, Anna Hedstroem, Emma Nilsson), at 14/15 and 1 min 34 sec 0, took bronze.
Finally, it’s worth noting that the French women’s team has won the pursuit event at the World Military Games for the third time in a row. In 2013, in Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie), Anaïs Bescond, Marine Bolliet, Coraline Hugue and Sophie Boilley won, as did Coline Varcin, Enora Latuillière, Estelle Mougel and Coraline Hugue again in 2017 in Sochi (Russia).
