Biathlon: two new gold medals for France at the World Military Games
On Wednesday afternoon, the day after the biathlon sprints at the Lucerne 2025 World Military Games, the organisers published the team results. The rankings were obtained by adding together the times of the three best biathletes from each country, and they enabled France to win… two more gold medals.

On the women’s side, Lou Jeanmonnot, who won the individual title, Paula Botet and Chloé Chevalier clocked up a time of 1 h 13 min 23 sec 8, almost a minute faster than Poland(Natalia Sidorowicz, Joanna Jakiela, Anna Maka) in silver and Austria(Anna Juppe, Lisa Theresa Hauser, Dunja Zdouc) in bronze.
Switzerland(Lena Haecki-Gross, Amy Baserga, Lea Meier) and Italy(Samuela Comola, Rebecca Passler, Martin Trabucchi) follow in the top 5.
With Eric Perrot and the Claude brothers, Les Bleus crush the competition
The men’s race was also dominated by France, with Eric Perrot, solo gold medallist, Fabien Claude and Emilien Claude. All three were in the top 10, nearly 3 minutes ahead of Italy(Patrick Braunhofer, Lukas Hofer, Didier Bionaz), in silver, and Slovenia(Anton Vidmar, Lovro Planko, Miha Dovzan), in bronze.

Finland’s Arttu Heikkinen, Tuomas Harjula and Jimi Klemettinen and Ukraine’s Denys Nasyko, Ruslan Tkalenko and Bogdan Tsymbal made it into the top 5.
