Biathlon: Lou Jeanmonnot wins the sprint at the World Military Games
Doubiste Lou Jeanmonnot was taking part in the sprint of the Lucerne 2025 World Military Games at midday on Tuesday. Two days after the heartbreak of losing the race for the big crystal globe in a crash in the final of the mass-start in Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway), the Franc-Comtoise rider was back with a smile on her face.

In this format, in which she has triumphed once this winter in the World Cup, Lou Jeanmonnot won 10/10 at the Goms stadium (Switzerland). Also in good form on cross-country skis, despite physical and mental fatigue, the Frenchwoman won the gold medal.
It was a very difficult race where the snow wasn’t compact and there was a lot of movement,” she went on to explain in a statement provided by the Centre national des sports de la Défense (CNSD). It was a rather slow race, and a bit windy on the firing point. I’m happy to have avoided the penalty ring! It was a great race, even if I’m starting to get a bit tired.
Paula Botet in the top 10, Chloé Chevalier twenty-first
Poland’s Natalia Sidorowicz (10/10) took silver at 21.4 seconds, while Italy’s Samuela Comola (9/10) was bronzed at 51.7 seconds.

Austria’s Anna Juppe and Lisa Theresa Hauser, both with 8/10, finished just off the podium, followed by Lena Haecki-Gross (8/10), Deedra Irwin (9/10), Erika Jänkä (10/10 ), Paula Botet (8/10) and Amy Baserga (8/10) in the top 10.

Chloé Chevalier (9/10), who this week bids farewell to biathlon in this military competition, came twenty-first. Sophie Chauveau did not start this race.
