14:07. Early on Friday afternoon, Estere Volfa and the others took part in the women’s sprint at the Junior Biathlon Cup in Madona (Latvia). In front of her home crowd, she clocked 10/10 and by far the best time on skis, crushing this second race of the week.

In second place, Ukraine’s Tetiana Tarasiuk (10/10) was effectively pushed back to 1 min 15 sec 2. Kseniia Prykhodko (9/10), another Ukrainian, was third at… 2 min 0 sec 2.

The flower ceremony was then completed by Slovenia’s Manca Caserman (6/10), the Czech Republic’s Valerie Krizova (8/10) and Austria’s Anna Millinger (8/10).
