12:22. At midday on Tuesday, the Norwegian Biathlon Association announced that Morten Djupvik, its general secretary, would be stepping down at the end of the year – “before Christmas”, it said.
“These five years within the biathlon community have been very rewarding, marked by exciting development projects, major sporting moments and, above all, many great colleagues and partners. I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the administration and will continue to follow biathlon with pride,” he says in a statement.
Emilie Nordskar, who is currently in charge of communications for the Norwegian biathlon, will act as interim Secretary General until a new Secretary General is appointed in the spring.
