Biathlon | Nordic skiing: the CNOSF’s pre-Olympic course takes place this week in the Var
This week, almost 200 French athletes from the various winter Olympic disciplines are taking part in the pre-Olympic gathering organised by the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF).
Cancelled in 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic, it is back on the programme this year and, as the CNOSF confirmed to Nordic Magazine in April, takes place from Monday to Friday on the Presqu’île de Giens (Var).
In the sunshine, as in 2017 when the event was held in La Londe-les-Maures (Var), these few days of cohesion involve the country’s best biathletes, cross-country skiers, combined and jumpers.
The programme for this week in the Var region is varied, with training sessions in the morning and group activities in the afternoon. A petanque tournament is scheduled for the first day of the course, followed by a mountain bike outing (Tuesday), go-karting (Wednesday) and orienteering or kayaking/pirogues (Thursday).
