12:35. In 298 days’ time, the Olympic Games in Milan/Cortina (Italy) will be officially opened on 6 February 2026. And while anticipation continues to build even though the Nordic athletes are currently resting, the Italian organisation has revealed the look of the torches that will carry the flame across the country.
“The design of the torch is intended to highlight the flame, the true soul of the flame’s journey. The aim is to enhance it by reducing the visual effect of the torch itself,” it says on the event website. By focusing on the essence of the design, the flame becomes the undisputed protagonist, while the technological part is revealed as a high-tech element that celebrates innovation.”
