Biathlon: time for the women’s sprint in Nove Mesto
This Friday, the Biathlon World Cup in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic) continues with the women’s sprint. Following Emilien Jacquelin‘s success, American Deedra Irwin will kick off the hostilities at 6.25pm.
Next up in the first bibs are Natalia Sidorowicz (2), Michela Carrara (3), Sophie Chauveau (4), Sophia Schneider (5), Sonja Leinamo (10), Eve Bouvard (11), Anna Gandler (12) and Anna-Karin Heijdenberg (14).
The blue group will kick off with the departure of Czech Marketa Davidova (16), back in competition after recovering from a herniated disc. Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold (17), Yuliia Dzhima (18), Anna Magnusson (20), Baiba Bendika (21), Karoline Knotten (22), Maya Cloetens (24), Sara Andersson (26), Paulina Batovska Fialkova (28), Hannah Auchentaller (30), Hanna Oeberg (32), Anastasiya Kuzmina (33), Anamarija Lampic (34), Julia Tannheimer (36), Milena Todorova (40), Amy Baserga (42) and Lena Haecki-Gross (44).

Jeanne Richard, in the 46th position and wearing the blue bib, will start the red group of favourites. Next up are Franziska Preuss in 48, with the yellow and red bib, Selina Grotian in 50, Maren Kirkeeide in 52, Lotte Lie in 54, Lou Jeanmonnot in 56, Océane Michelon in 58, Ragnhild Femsteinevik in 59, Ella Halvarsson on number 60, Dorothea Wierer on number 62, Suvi Minkkinen on number 64, Ida Lien on number 65, Lisa Theresa Hauser on number 66, Julia Simon on number 68, Johanna Puff on number 69 and Justine Braisaz-Bouchet on number 70.
At the end of the race, the passages of Marlene Fichtner (76), Linda Zingerle (78), Marthe Kraakstad Johansen (79), Lea Rothschopf (82) or Shawna Pendry (94) will be worth watching.
