Biathlon: change of start list for the women’s sprint in Nove Mesto
This Friday, the Biathlon World Cup in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic) continues with the women’s sprint. In the wake of Emilien Jacquelin‘s success, the IBU announced early this afternoon that it had decided to review the starting order.
As with the men’s event, the conditions were too hot at the Vysocina Arena, so it was decided to start with the red group (top 15 in the World Cup) and then the blue group (top 16-30).
Jeanne Richard, in number 1 and wearing the blue bib, will get the ball rolling. Next up are Franziska Preuss with number 3 and the yellow and red bib, Natalia Sidorowicz with number 4, Selina Grotian with number 5, Michela Carrara with number 6, Maren Kirkeeide with number 7, Sophie Chauveau with number 8, Lotte Lie with number 9 and Sophia Schneider with number 10, Lou Jeanmonnot on the 11th, Océane Michelon on the 13th, Ella Halvarsson on the 15th, Dorothea Wierer on the 17th, Suvi Minkkinen on the 19th, Lisa Theresa Hauser on the 21st, Eve Bouvard on the 22nd, Julia Simon on the 23rd and Justine Braisaz-Bouchet on the 25th.

Then, the blue group will get underway with the start of Czech Marketa Davidova (27), back in competition after recovering from a herniated disc.Anna-Karin Heijdenberg (28), Yuliia Dzhima (29), Anna Magnusson (31), Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold (32), Karoline Knotten (33), Maya Cloetens (35), Baiba Bendika (36), Sara Andersson (37), Paulina Batovska Fialkova (39), Hannah Auchentaller (41), Hanna Oeberg (43), Anamarija Lampic (45), Julia Tannheimer (47), Anastasiya Kuzmina (48), Milena Todorova (51), Amy Baserga (53) and Lena Haecki-Gross (55).
At the end of the race, the passes of Samuela Comola (60), Polona Klemencic (63), Ragnhild Femsteinevik (65), Ida Lien (68), Johanna Puff (70), Martina Trabucchi (73), Marlene Fichtner (76), Linda Zingerle (78), Marthe Kraakstad Johansen (79), Lea Rothschopf (82) and Shawna Pendry (94) will be worth watching.
