Biathlon: Johannes Thingnes Boe will wear yellow in Pokljuka
A change of leader in the men’s biathlon World Cup! Norway’s Sturla Holm Lægreid, who has topped the world rankings for several races, has had to relinquish his yellow bib to Johannes Thingnes Boe after the pursuit in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic).
With 936 points, the latter is back in the lead with five races to go… but is only 5 points ahead of his compatriot. The suspense promises to be immense in Pokljuka (Slovenia) and Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway).

Emilien Jacquelin (694) remains third ahead of Eric Perrot (670), Sebastian Samuelsson (669), Tommaso Giacomel (615), Tarjei Boe (600), Quentin Fillon-Maillet (586), Vebjoern Soerum (549) and Fabien Claude (481). Sixteenth-placed Campbell Wright (347) keeps his blue bib as best U23.
Elsewhere, in the pursuit rankings, Johannes Thingnes Boe (355) takes sole possession of the lead ahead of Sturla Holm Lægreid (340). Only the two of them will be in with a chance of winning the small globe in a fortnight’ time.
