Before the biathlon world cup sprint in Oberhof (Germany), the first event of 2025, Johannes Thingnes Boe was leading the overall standings by 115 points ahead of his compatriot Sturla Holm Lægreid.
Thirteenth in this race marked by a French hat-trick, he lost a little of his margin over his main rival, sixth on the day. However, he still has a 98-length lead.
