As is the tradition year after year on the biathlon world cup, April often rhymes with reviews and the traditional presentation of individual or team trophies. And this week, the IBU has also carried out a poll to allow fans of the discipline to vote for the revelations of the season.

And after three days of voting and a total of more than 310 participants, it was France’s Océane Michelon who came out on top from among the four nominees. The Savoyard was up against her compatriot Paula Botet, Norway’s Maren Kirkeeide and Sweden’s Ella Halvarsson. In the end, the Frenchwoman won with 55% of the votes.

On the men’s side, it was Vitalii Mandzyn who dominated the debates. With 72% of the votes cast, the Ukrainian beat the Norwegians Martin Uldal and Isak Frey and the German Danilo Riethmueller.
