This Thursday morning, Tarjei Boe and his brother Johannes Thingnes Boe took part in a final joint press conference in Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway) in front of journalists from around the world.
He then announced that he would be racing his last races of his career, starting with the sprint scheduled for early afternoon on Friday. However, he fell ill in the afternoon and announced that he would be forced to withdraw.
“I’ve been knocked out by fever and headaches, he explained in a press release from the Norwegian Biathlon Association. I’m going to do everything I can to make it to the start on Sunday.”
