Biathlon: another 89-length lead for Sturla Holm Lægreid in the quest for the crystal
Early on Friday afternoon, Johannes Thingnes Boe won the sprint of the biathlon world cup finals in Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway). For his antepenultimate career race, the Norwegian, back from illness, put in a fine performance with 10/10 to win… ahead of the yellow bib Sturla Holm Lægreid (10/10).
In the overall rankings, the two men are separated by just 89 points, with only the pursuit on Saturday and the mass start on Sunday remaining. So the suspense is still there, especially as Johannes Thingnes Boe will start 26 seconds ahead of his compatriot in the pursuit.

In the battle for third place, Eric Perrot (825) seems to have made a decisive gap over Emilien Jacquelin (755), Quentin Fillon-Maillet (747), Sebastian Samuelsson (744) and Tommaso Giacomel (735). Tarjei Boe (663), Vebjoern Soerum (613) and Fabien Claude (557) close the top 10 ahead of Jakov Fak (555) and Martin Uldal (542).
American Campbell Wright (388), eighteenth, retains the lead in the U23 rankings, which he will win over the weekend ahead of Ukrainian Vitalii Mandzyn (230) and Isak Frey (109).
